Not At Interbike

Nope, not this year . . . for the 2nd consecutive year. As you all know we just moved about 1 month ago. We're still figuring things out here in Portland. For example, we're still looking for the right daycare situation for Oskar. So I'm in charge of the boy for now, which is awesome in many ways, but certainly not a long-term solution. The lovely and talented Mrs. Cranky just stared school on Monday. Graduate school no less, which requires a lot of brain power and focused energy. Suffice it to say, Interbike couldn't have come at a worse time. We just have too much going on and we're lacking the resources to make it all happen. Maybe the new tag line should read, "Doing the Best We Can." I know the Kona Bowl will miss the likes of me. Next year!?

Old Knickers, New Price

Okay folks, I just lowered the price of the old knickers by $20 bucks. They're now down to the "you can't afford NOT to buy them" price of $75. That's basically 50% off! Buy now and own a piece of Hypnotic history . . .

Portland

We’ve been in Portland for almost 2 weeks now. What a great town! Nice parks, bike lanes and boulevards, weather, food, beer, friendly people, etc. Moving itself was a drag. We undershot the truck. We ran out of room so we had to triage the situation and leave some things behind in a storage unit. We lost the cat a couple times. She’s of the indoor variety and we got a little lax about leaving certain doors open long enough for her to escape. We were able to lure her back with cheese every time. Once we were on the road the cat traveled well, the boy traveled well and we traveled well. Dana’s family helped us pack, then drove the truck up ahead of us and started unpacking ahead of us. WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU! THANKS!! Do you read my blog? Since getting here we’ve been exploring on a daily basis. Venturing out a little further each day. Got a library card yesterday and an account at the local video store. Been riding quite a bit. Going up to Mt. Tabor to spin around, Forest Park, running errands, etc. ‘Cross season begins in about 2 weeks. Nice! They have a 'cross season here!

Head Guy

I was out on a 'cross ride yesterday in Forest Park and got stung by a bee. As evidenced by my freakishly large forehead:
